Today one of the representatives from the Athens area Food Supplement program came to talk to us. I didn't realize how many programs were available to help those in need, even though it sounded like you had to jump through a lot of hoops to get it. I thought it was interesting that they had work placement programs so that if someone didn't have a job they would give them one, just so they could receive the benefits. For me, it was eye-opening information.
